Patricia Knight-Bellisle

Patricia Knight-Bellisle is an experienced spiritual director, graduating from the Spiritual Life Center’s internship program in 2018 after she retired as an attorney. She is a long-time practitioner of Centering Prayer and learned the technique from a student of Basil Pennington. She met Basil Pennington and this experience confirmed for her the value of a contemplative practice. She is a member of the coordinating team of Contemplative Outreach of Connecticut and volunteers for the Christian Contemplative Experience program. She is a certified presenter of Centering Prayer workshops and facilitates two centering prayer groups and Bridges to Contemplative Living Groups. She completed two years of Advanced Ignatian Studies at Mercy Center in Connecticut. She practiced Zen mediation for eight years at the New Haven Zen Center while remaining rooted in Catholic tradition. Her delight is when directees discover the movement of the Divine in their lives.

I am flexible because of retirement. I have standing commitments in the mornings on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

Spiritual Direction Offering

This spiritual director is volunteering the service of spiritual direction in support of the mission of the Center for Spiritual Direction at Holy Family and so the director has indicated that payment for each session should be made directly to the Center. The standard suggested offering is $75 per session and can be made on the “payment” page of the CSD website. The Center for Spiritual Direction endeavors to make spiritual direction accessible to all. Those who cannot make the standard offering of $75 may set their own payment amount for each session on our payment page.

Session Appointments, Changes, and Cancellations

All spiritual direction sessions are scheduled and coordinated between the director and the directee. Directees are expected to keep their scheduled appointments. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please contact your spiritual director at the email address on this bio page (some directors may also choose to share phone contact information with directees once they begin meeting). Whenever possible, please provide 24 hours notice for all appointment changes. Spiritual direction is usually conducted once a month. You and your director will decide on the frequency and timing of your sessions.
